Heroin has been present in two tennis balls thrown into the Kandakadu remedy facility.
The Police stated that the tennis balls had been discovered within the Kandakadu remedy facility by the navy and jail guards.
Police Spokesman, Deputy Inspector Common (DIG) Ajith Rohana stated that investigations revealed the tennis balls have been thrown into the premises from outdoors.
He stated that on being inspected, the authorities discovered heroin, tobacco and hashish hidden inside.
DIG Ajith Rohana stated that the tennis balls had been handed over to the Welikanda Police for additional investigations.
The Police stated that that is the primary time that heroin and different objects had been thrown contained in the Kandakadu remedy facility.
DIG Ajith Rohana stated that related incidents had been reported prior to now on the Welikada Jail and Negombo Jail.
